Gozo talk by Matthew Bartolo on Sexuality and Relationships Education

The Gozo Primary Personal, Social and Career Development teachers, in collaboration with Dar Guzeppa Debono, will be hosting a talk presented by Matthew Bartolo, who is a sex and relationship counsellor.
The organisers said that this talk will be for parents/guardians whose children are in primary schools.
The talk will complement the PSCD lessons related to Sexuality and Relationships Education for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 which will be delivered at the child’s school. During these lessons topics such as puberty, gender stereotypes, pregnancy and safe/unsafe touch will be covered.
Matthew Bartolo will be discussing the challenges that are brought by when growing up in a sexualised society.
The organisers are encouraging parents/guardians to attend the talk and voice any questions and concerns they may have in order to help their children cope better during their teenage years.
Parents/guardians can write their questions or topics they would like him to discuss on his Facebook page Counsellor Matthew Bartolo in confidentiality.
This talk will be held on Wednesday, the 10th of April at at the Gozo College Secondary School, starting at 9.00am. The talk will be repeated at 6.00pm on the same day.
Before and after the talk, parents/guardians will have the opportunity to look at the workbooks used in the Sexuality and Relationships Education lessons for Years 4, 5 and 6.
