Hundreds take part in GC Middle School Climate Action Fun WalkThe Gozo College Middle School Climate Action Fun Walk held on Tuesday was a huge success, with hundreds of students and adults joining them for the event.

Participants were able to view an exhibition in the school grounds, which highlighted Sustainable Development Goals, they also learnt about the importance of trees in combating global warming, and got to know about various indigenous trees and shrubs growing in the Maltese Islands, as well as making pledges on how they can do their part for a better planet.Hundreds take part in GC Middle School Climate Action Fun WalkBefore the kick off for the Fun Walk, a group of students passed on a message to those present through – A Love Song to the Earth – which highlighted how fragile our earth is and that it’s our responsibility to keep it safe for future generations to come through.

Then it was Owen Leuellen’s turn (X Factor Malta runner-up) to entertain the attendees with one of his Rap Songs.Hundreds take part in GC Middle School Climate Action Fun WalkPresent for the walk was Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana and TV presenter Clare Agius.

The Climate Action Fun Walk supported the water conservation campaign led by the HSBC water programme Catch the Drop.
