GFA has deplored the attack on referee during 2nd division match

The Gozo Football Association has said that it “regretfully notes” the incident where Gozitan referee Joseph Agius was “physically attacked by a player” during a Gozo Football League 2nd Division match that took place on Saturday.
The GFA added that this incident is being “categorically deplored” and reiterated that “violence has no place in football.”
The incident caused the match, which was between Oratory Youths FC and Qala Saints FC, to be abandoned after 63 minutes.
The Gozo Football Association has expressed its solidarity with Joseph Aguis and said that it will be “looking further into this incident.”
