The Gozo Channel has said that MV Malita will be off-service at the dry dock again, from tomorrow, Wednesday, the 6th of February until Tuesday, the 12th of February.
The ferry was out of service for just over three weeks in January when it was in dry docks, arriving back in Mgarr on the 1st of February.
In a statement the company advised that to compensate for the drop in vehicle capacity, as from tomorrow, the morning trips, between Monday to Friday from Mgarr and Cirkewwa will be operated as follows:
Mgarr: 4:45, 5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:00 and 7:30am
Cirkewwa: 5.15, 6.00, 6.30, 7.00, 7:30 and 8:15am.
Other trips will be performed according to the published schedule and a shuttle service will also be provided if needed, the company said.
The company added that it will also ensure that the Ta’ Pinu is operated with both hoistable decks down so that it can cater for heavy traffic as and when necessary.
Gozo Channel concluded by saying that the above arrangements will remain operational until the MV Malita returns to service and “depending on weather conditions.”
