On Friday evening Arthall in Victoria, opened its doors to host a Philosophy Sharing Gozo event, with a reading by Heiko Jörges from Italo Calvino’s – The Baron in the trees.
The organisers said that the evening was a complete success and “proved that philosophy, art, culture and music are a really good match.”
Following the reading there was a discussion on this 1957 novel by the Italian writer – the story of the adventures of a boy who climbs up a tree to spend the rest of his life inhabiting an arboreal kingdom.
Adding to the atmospheric surroundings of paintings, sculptures and candles, there was guitar music played by Lars Lundrgren.
