Cold weather affecting the number of people making blood donationsThe current spell of cold weather is adversely affecting the number of people making blood donations, the National Blood Donation Service has said.

With this in mind the Service is calling on people to please help in this appeal for donations as it is important to sustain the current reserve.

The public on Gozo are being invited to donate blood next Tuesday, the 15th of January, from 1:00pm-5:00pm – last registration 5:00pm – at the District Health Centre in Xewkija, located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.

The Service thanks everyone in advance who intends to donate.
