The MV Malita is off-service at the dry dock from today, Wednesday, the 9th of January and Thursday, the 31st of January, Gozo Channel has said.
The company in a statement advised that to compensate for the decrease in vehicle capacity, as from Thursday, the 10th of January, the morning trips, between Monday to Friday from Mgarr and Cirkewwa will be operated as follows:
Mgarr: 4:45, 5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:00 and 7:30am
Cirkewwa: 5.15, 6.00, 6.30, 7.00, 7:30 and 8:15am.
Gozo Channel said that other trips will be performed according to the published schedule and a shuttle service will also be provided if demand so necessitates.
The company added that it will also ensure that the Ta’ Pinu is operated with both hoistable decks down so that it can cater for the heavy traffic as and when necessary.
Gozo Channel concluded by saying that the above arrangements will remain operational until the M/v ta Malita returns to service and “depending on weather conditions.”
