Update: The Magi on their journey to Gozo from Bethlehem in Palestine

Update with details for Saturdays’ events in Malta – The Magi have started on their journey to Gozo and Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem, for the Adoration of the Magi on Sunday, to close this 10th edition of the Nativity Village.
The Three Wise Men left from Manger Square in Bethlehem, Palestine, on a journey through the desert. They are making their voyage with a delegation from Ghajnsielem.
On Saturday the Magi will arrive at the Castille in Valletta at around 10am. There will be animation activities between 10.30am and 2.00pm at St George’s Square and the President’s Palace.
The Magi will depart at 2.30pm from Valletta to visit Hamrun where there is a live Crib organised by the Franciscan Community.
From there the journey continues to Mosta where they will be greeted by the Mayor and the Mosta band.
Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar will then start their journey on Sunday, the 6th of January, Feast of the Epiphany, from Mosta at 7.30am, with a short reenactment when they reach Mellieha main square.
The Three Kings will board the ferry to Gozo, for the Adoration of the Magi, the final chapter in the story of the Nativity, when the Three Wise Men will make a triumphal entrance at the nativity village, stopping at the grotto to present gifts to baby Jesus.
This will bring to a close the 10th edition of Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem, which once again attracted thousands of visitors to view the activity village. The Nativity Village will be open between 2.00pm and 8.00pm.
