Gozo Model Car Association Championship 3rd Round winners

The Gozo Model Car Association organised the third round of the Championship 2018-2019 on Saturday at the GMCA Ta’ Xhajma Track – sponsored by 4wheelhobby Malta.
GMCA said that it would like to wish good luck to yet another new competitor that joined the Club this season Joseph Sultana with a Mugen Buggy Chassis and Sirio Engine.
“Our hobby is now gaining interest from the public, as more and more are joining us every Saturday at the track while taking photos and enjoying a cup of tea and coffee to support their favourite car and competitor,” the Association said.
Weather conditions were perfect for Round 3 of the Championship, with a sunny and calm afternoon.
In the final of the Truggies Class, Miguel Attard was placed first with 26 laps with his Mugen Chassis and an Alpha Engine taking 10 points to secure his place at the top of the Championship table with 30 points.
He was followed by Christian Farrugia with 25 laps with a Mugen Chassis and an Alpha Engine who received 8 points. Third place was won by Aaron Refalo also with 25 laps with a Mugen Chassis and a Novarossi Engine.
In the final of the Buggies Class, Andrew Zammit placed first with 24 laps with a Hongnor chassis and a Sirio Engine taking 10 points to secure his place at the top of the Championship table with 30 points.
He was followed by Gary Barber with 23 laps with a Mugen chassis and a Novarossi Engine who received 8 points. Third place was won by Marlon Le Prevost with 23 laps with an Intech Chassis and a Sirio Engine.
At the end of the day the winners of the final event took to the podium to the applause of their fellow competitors and supporters.
The fourth round will be held on Saturday, the 5th of January 2019, starting at 1.30pm at the GMCA Ta’ Xhajma Track.
