Tough race conditions for 2nd Round of the GMCA ChampionshipThe Gozo Model Car Association Championship 2018-2019 second round was held on Saturday organised at the GMCA Ta’ Xhajma Track, organised by the GMCA.

The cold and windy weather did not make for ideal race conditions, meaning that further tuning had to be done to the engines of the truggies and buggies in order to reach ideal temperature.

GMCA said that it would like to wish good luck to two new competitors that joined the Club this season – Antoine Vella with a Mugen Truggy and a Sirio Engine and Kurt Grima with an X-Ray Buggy and an Alpha Engine.

In the final of the Truggies Class, Miguel Attard was placed first with a Mugen Chassis and an Alpha Engine. He was followed by Mark Zammit with a Hongnor Chassis and a Sirio Engine. Third place was won by Marlon Le Prevost with a Tecno RC Chassis and a Reds Engine.

In the Buggies Class final, Andrew Zammit came first with a Hongnor chassis and a Sirio Engine followed by Mario Grech with an Intech chassis and a Sirio Engine. Third place was won by Miguel Attard with an Intech Chassis and an Rc Concept Engine.

At the end of the day the winners of the final event had their photos taken on the podium to the applause of their fellow competitors.

The second round will be held next Saturday, the 22nd of December, starting at 1.30pm at the GMCA Ta’ Xhajma Track.
