The National Blood Transfusion Service is taking a lead role in the drink-driving campaign for the festive season `No Thanks I’m Driving.’
It stressed the need for personal discipline in the choice of drink-driving, saying that the wrong choice can lead to accidents, with considerable consequences.
The Service is calling on Gozitans who are healthy, to please donate blood during a session in Gozo this Sunday, the 9th of December, in order that it is well prepared for the season ahead.
The District Health Centre in Xewkija will be taking donations between 8:00am to 1:00pm (last registration until 1:00pm).
The Centre is located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
The Service reminded that it is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
The Service thanks everyone in advance who intends to donate.
