Gozo and its difficulties have been forgotten by the Government - Delia“The Government has forgotten Gozo entirely, so much so that in the budget there is no solution to the issues directly concerning Gozo,” said the leader of the Nationalist Party Adrian Delia, while addressing an activity in Sannat.

Dr. Delia said that the Government has not seriously addressed the problems and difficulties of Gozo, such as insularity, the creation of quality jobs in Gozo, and transportation.

He stated that the Government had also forgotten farmers, “the Government has decided to destroy farms rather than helping farmers through increased incentives and subsidies, said Dr Delia.

Adrian Delia told those present at the event that the hospitals of St. Luke’s, Karen Grech and the Gozo General Hospital should be returned to the Maltese and Gozitans.

“The Government chose to give the three hospitals to a company that had no experience in the medical sector,” said Dr. Delia.

He added that the Health Minister Chris Fearne was then told that Steward are `the real thing,’ but now the same Minister is trying to re-negotiate the € 2 billion contract.”

To criticise is one aspect in politics from the Opposition..On the other hand one would expect clear crystal proposal and a clear vision for Gozo from the Opposition.
What suggestions and proposals were made? None were made.
It is about time that the Honorable Opposition should lay out its proposal for Gozo and not just by criticising anything and everything.
