Serious accidents happen on the streets of Gozo and Malta on a daily basis and the possible resulting consequences means that there is a constant need for blood.
The National Blood Transfusion Service said that faced with this reality they are encouraging all Gozitans who are healthy to join with the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps, to donate blood during a session in Gozo this Sunday, the 25th of November.
The District Health Centre in Xewkija will be taking donations between 8:00am to 1:00pm (last registration until 1:00pm) in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
The Service thanks everyone in advance all those who intend to donate.
