A missionary bazaar has just been opened by the Missionary Movement `Jesus in thy Neighbour,’ in Europa Street, Victoria, Gozo, just along from Gozo Sports Complex.
There are hundreds of items for sale at “a low price,” which have all been donated, including ceramics, clothes, picture frames, handmade crafts, plants and much more, most of them are “new, or as new.” The bazaar also accepts donations for sale.
The Movement explained that the aim of this fundraising bazaar is to help, and give a better life to the poor people that are living on the streets of Brazil, Ethiopia and Kenya, through the provision of food, water, medicine, education and shelter.
So please drop by and have a look around the bazaar, save money on your purchase, and at the same time help people in need. It is open Monday to Saturday 9am-midday and 3pm-6pm.
The Missionary Movement `Jesus in thy Neighbour,’ is a non-governmental organisation and was founded in Gozo by Mgr. George Grima.
The Movement was approved by the late Bishop of Gozo, Mgr. Nikol Cauchi, on the 30th of October 1992.
Following the death of Dun George last year, the Bishop of Gozo Mgr. Mario Grech appointed Fr Alex Cauchi, who is another missionary priest, as Director of this Movement. He had been a missionary in Brazil and Peru since 1995.
