The final draft of a Declaration in favour of inclusivity in Gozo is being prepared by Civil Society in Gozo.
Representatives from various non-government organisations, namely the OASI Foundation, Dar Arka, LGBTI+ Gozo, the Mental Health Association Gozo and the Gozo Association for the Deaf convened at the premises of the Arka Foundation at Ghajnsielem, where they presented their specific aims for inclusion in this Declaration.
Discussions focused on the challenges ahead and forwarded proposals to “ensure more inclusivity with the aim of satisfying the legitimate aspirations of citizens and residents in Gozo.”
The Declaration is being organised with the collaboration of the Gozo Office of MEP Alfred Sant and the S&D Group at the European Parliament.
It is expected that this Declaration will be announced officially at Fondazzjoni Arka on Saturday, the 3rd of November at 10am.
An invitation to attend is being extended to parents, relatives and friends of persons in Gozo interested in this Declaration as well as the general public. A reception will follow.
