Casa Amalia offers services for the elderly in the community in Victoria

Casa Amalia – is a new home for the elderly in the centre of Victoria that will offer services for the elderly in the community.
The Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana said that this house will continue to rejuvenate our families who have older family members suffering from dementia.
Casa Amalia is a private home which has an agreement with the Government to provide this service.
The Minister explained that in this way, the services offered by Casa Amalia will be part of the services offered by the Ministry for Gozo in order to further improve the quality of life of elderly people suffering from dementia, while being able to continue to live in the community.
The service will be available both during the day and at night, provided by employees with specialised training in the dementia sector. Programmes will be offered during the day tailored to customers based on professional advice.
The Minister expressed her satisfaction that Gozo is now entering the private social sector and augured for more investment of this kind.
