Joint musical concert on Sunday with Gozitan and German musicians

A reminder that this Sunday – Sound Bridges – a joint concert with the participation of the Gozo Youth Orchestra and Eurode Jugendorchester Herzogenrath of Germany, will be taking place in Gozo.
Following its successful tour in Germany in September last year as part of an Erasmus+ programme, the Gozo Youth Orchestra said that it now welcomes the Eurode Jugendorchester Herzogenrath for the second part of this EU funded programme.
During their eight-day stay in Gozo, youth musicians from both Gozo and Germany will participate in workshops and masterclasses, tackling subjects from education to culture,
Comprising of 70 musicians, the joint ensemble will present a joint-concert this Sunday, the 21st of October, starting at 4.30pm, at Gozo College Foyer, at Europa Street, Victoria, Gozo.
Joseph Grech and Martin Eibach musical directors of The Gozo Youth Orchestra and the Eurode Jugendorchester Herzogenrath, will direct the concert. Entrance is free of charge and the public are invited to attend.
The joint ensemble will also present a commemorative concert to refugee victims while travelling to seek a better life in Europe.
This will be held at the MPO rehearsal/concert hall in Floriana, on Monday, the 22nd of October, starting at 6.30pm. Everyone is invited.
The Gozo Youth Orchestra said that this project was possible through the Erasmus+ through the EUPA agency Malta, MEUSAC, Oratory Don Bosco, the Gozo College and the Sir M.A. Refalo Sixth Form within the Mikiel Anton Vassalli College.
