Prime Minister highlights investment projects in Gozo healthcare

Speaking at a political activity in Qala this morning, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat gave an overview of Government plans for the healthcare sector, including those in Gozo
He said that there is major investment in the upgrade of the Gozo General Hospital and the new Health Centre that will be opening in Victoria.
The Prime Minister also mentioned investments being made in the Mater Dei Hospital, and said that there were no longer out of stock medicines, while waiting lists had also been cut.
The project in Victoria was first announced in June, and at that time it was hoped that it would open in the first half of next year.
it is estimated that the project will cost around €1.5 million, which will be financed throught funds from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry for Gozo, and will be the only one of its kind in Gozo.
The Ministry for Gozo has said that work is in progress on the new tender after the necessary changes had been made for the new Health Centre., so that it well equipped with modern facilities for the needs of the patients.
