Recital and conference to close MUSIC+ mini festival in Gozo

MUSIC+ the mini festival in Gozo organised by the Classique Foundation, resumes on Sunday, the 28th October, with a recital entitled Bach and beyond.
The recital will feature Maltese-Canadian flutist Rebecca Hall and Maltese pianist Gisele Grima and is taking place at the Exhibition Hall, Ministry for Gozo, Victoria, starting at 7.30pm. Entrance is free of charge.
This first edition of MUSIC+ opened on the 28th of September and the programme of events have proved to be a great success.
The festival concludes on Friday, the 9th of November, at the Circolo Gozitano premises in Victoria, with a conference in Maltese where representatives from opera houses / festivals will discuss the future of opera in the Maltese Islands.This conference, which starts at 7.30pm, will be moderated by Dr Paul Xuereb and will also be addressed by Maltese international soprano Miriam Gauci and Cecilia Xuereb.
The Foundation said that all opera buffs, singers, scenographers, choristers, chorus masters, conductors, props managers, repetiteurs, stage managers, artistic directors, etc., are invited to participate.
“Together we will study the way forward for this art form that has been, and in a way still is, so important in the Maltese islands,” the Foundation said.
