Musical Remembrance Evening for Bishop Sylvester Carmel Magro

A Musical Remembrance Evening in commemoration of Bishop Sylvester Carmel Magro, who passed away on the 20th of January of this year, is being presented by the JP2 Foundation in full collaboration with the Franciscan Fathers.
Mgr Magro was from Rabat Malta, but his family originally came from the locality of Nadur Gozo, he was born on the 11th of November 1941.
He was Apostolic Vicar of Benghazi in Libya for 19 years, and served for some time at Franciscan Convent in Ghajnsielem and after he retired he was a frequent visitor to the convent.
The evening, which is being supported by the Ministry for Gozo, will host two young Gozitan singers both from Ghajnsielem.
Tenor Angelo Muscat will be singing a number of religious pieces from his repertoire and pop singer Deborah C also singing from her repertoire. They will be accompanied on the piano by Mro Stephen Attard.
The Musical Remembrance Evening will take place at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, Ghajnsielem, on Saturday, the 6th of October, starting at 8.15pm.
