Gozo conference on tourism and volunteering sector collaboration

A half day conference – Optimising the synergies within the tourism and volunteering sectors – is being organised by the Gozo Tourism Association in conjunction with the Gozo NGOs Association.
The event is mark World Tourism Day which is celebrated worldwide every 27th September, with the conference being held on Thursday, the 27th between 9.30am and 12.00pm at the Grand Hotel Mgarr.
It will be opened by the Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana. Addresses will also be made by the Chairman of the Gozo Tourism Association, Mr Paul Scicluna and the President of the Gozo NGOs Association Mr Saviour Grech.
Mr. Leslie Vella, Deputy CEO and Strategic Development Chief Officer, at the Malta Tourism Authority, together with Mr. Laurence Zammit Managing Director at Misco will both deliver presentations on how these two sectors can collaborate together to improve their respective roles.
The GTA said that participants will have the opportunity to actively join in group discussions on how these two vibrant sectors in Gozo can optimise their respect synergies.
All those involved in the touristic and volunteering sectors are urged to attend this half conference by registering either with the Gozo Tourism Association or the Gozo NGOs Association.
This initiative is being funded by the Small Initiatives Support Scheme (SIS) managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (MCVS).
