Cittadella 1551 – A chance to relive this episode from Gozo’s history

This Saturday, why not make your way to the Cittadella in Victoria and experience what it was like to be a part of Gozo’s siege of 1551.
Visitors can join with `Compagnia San Michele – Malta,’ who will be holding its first ever event on the island of Gozo.
Compagnia San Michele – Malta will be setting up a representation on the Citadella of a military encampment of the defenders during the Ottoman raid by Sinan Pasha’s forces in 1551.
Don’t miss the opportunity to relive this episode from Gozo’s history at the Cittadella, taking place on Saturday, the 22nd of September, from 9.30am until 11.30pm. This event is being held in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo.
Established in January 2015, Compagnia San Michele – Malta is a Maltese historical interpretation group and voluntary organisation.
They said that there main intent is to stage educational displays and events “that are as historically accurate as possible,” focusing on the late medieval to the early modern period.
