The Qala International Folk Festival returns for the 13th year later this month, with music, dance, traditional food and colourful costumes, organised by the Qala Local Council and the Qala Menhir Folk Group.
A firm favourite on the Gozo cultural calendar, the Festival is taking place over three days, between Friday, the 21st and Sunday, the 23rd of September, when the village of Qala, will be transformed into a hub of folk activities that give visitors an insight into the way our ancestors thought and lived in these islands.
Guest foreign folk groups also take part, this year they will be from Russia, Ireland and Italy. The Festival’s intercultural programme has grown to attract locals and visitors who enjoy this different and enjoyable spectacle.
The full programme for the Festival will be announced closer to the date.
