Future Vision Acrobat (FVA) from Rwanda, was founded by Elysée Niyonsenga, a survivor of the genocide.
Elysée is coming to Gozo and Malta, along with 4 other acrobats from his group – Future Vision Acrobat – to run a couple of Circus4Life workshops for vulnerable Maltese and migrant youth.
While in Gozo, the group will be performing – Changing the Story – a high energy and entertaining performance by the acrobats at St George’s Square in Victoria, on Sunday, the 23rd of September at 7.45pm. Entrance is free of charge.
Elysée worked his way out of extreme poverty by teaching himself acrobatics and then helping other children living on the streets do the same.
This resulted in getting them back into school and off the streets by providing them with safe housing and a family within the small acrobatic community he has formed in Gisenyi – northern Rwanda by the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo.
