The Bollard was hit by a cement truck on the road above causing it to break and fall below injuring the man. It was very frightening. I was there with my family at a neighbouring restaurant

Hi. The injured man is my cousin. We were at lunch with him. I’d like to thank the passing trauma doctor and a local nurse who helped so much at the beginning of this awful experience and also the local people who wished us all such good thoughts and prayers. We were all so shocked and the staff of the restaurant helped us all especially the kids. He is in hospital badly hurt but, thank goodness, alive and talking to us. The hospital staff have been excellent and we are confident of a full but long recovery.

We wish a good recovery to this gentleman, we are like you tourists and it touched us. It could have happened to anyone.
