Anton and myself are of the same age and attended kindergarten – primary & secondary schools together. Anton was one of the quite ones – kept to himself but always had his head in books or writing on a piece of paper.

From the early days he always was way ahead of one and all in the Maltese Language. Sometimes more informed on the subject than the educator was.

Anton succeeded in several aspects in life. He was an educator – Government Official in high places – Union Man – a Literary expert in Maltese and a vast knowledgeable researcher. Last years he was always at the Gozo General Library buried in Books & Newspapers.

He was also a newspaper correspondent – a writer and also a poet. He used to hold interesting and informative T.V. programs about Gozo – the nature and historical.

Gozo has lost a gentleman and a most experienced historical Gozitan researcher.

      May God bless his soul.
