Guitar recital by Italian guitarist Fabio Barbagallo at St Cecilia Chapel

A reminder that tomorrow evening there is the opportunity to attend a guitar recital featuring acclaimed Italian guitarist Fabio Barbagallo and organised by the Gaulitanus Choir.
Barbagallo, is Sicilian-born and is among the Italian guitarist of his generation most active on the international scene, having performed worldwide.
He is also a composer with works published and recorded for Milan´s Edizione Musicali Sinfonica, and Barbagallo is the founder and artistic director of the Solarino International Guitar Festival.
His Gozo recital will feature a varied programme and will include work from Renaissance composer Pietro Paulo Borrono da Milano, Baroque Czech master John Anton Logy, Romantic virtuoso Niccolò Paganini, contemporary Jazz-influenced French composer Thierry Tisserand and very well-known Argentinian Maximo Diego Pujol. To add some more spice, some Sicilian folk dances will also be played.
The recital is organised in collaboration with the Associazione Amici della Musica and the Solarino International Guitar Festival, and artistically directed by Gaulitanus Choir founder-director Colin Attard and will conclude the artistic season for the choir.
The venue is the medieval St Cecilia Chapel, Ghajnsielem, courtesy of Wirt Ghawdex on, on Friday, the 13th of July, starting at 8pm. Entrance to the concert is free of charge and everyone is invited to attend.
