Minister Caruana explained that work is ongoing within the Ministry for Gozo, to further exploit the potential that is linked with the operas organised by the two main theatres in Gozo.
She stated how the time has come to make a concerted effort to make sure that these works are internationally recognised.
Dr Caruana congratulated the Representatives of both theatres and said that these operas would not be possible if it was not for the work of the hundreds of volunteers who invest their time and energy to ensure a high quality end performance.
The Minister for Gozo thanked the PBS Chairman as well as all the employees at TVM who she said, work hard to so that a voice for Gozo continues to resound on TVM.
The operas will be broadcast on TVM next September, Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci, will be shown on Wednesday, the 12th of September, and Lucia di Lammermoor will be shown on Wednesday, the 19th of September.
