The Citadel restoration project is a finalist in the European RegioStars Awards 2018 for its originality and innovation, and completed using European funds.
The final selection will be made by the public and the vote for the 2018 Public Choice Award is now open.
To place your vote for the project of the rehabilitation and restoration of the Cittadella, Gozo, please click here. Votes can be cast until midnight on the 7th of October.
The Citadel restoration project is competing in Category 5, with 4 other projects, which are Gwrtheyrn Nant Wales, Vista Alegre Heritage Museum in Portugal, Iron Age Danube between Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia and, Raised bogs – A European Unique Area in Ireland.
An expert jury of 15 members, co-chaired by MEP Lambert Van Nistelrooij and MEP Kerstin Westphal, is working on determining the most excellent project per category based on merits such as innovative character, impact, sustainability and partnership.
The 21 finalists come from 20 different member states and five further partner countries.
But the project which gathers the most votes here receives also the prestigious Public Choice Award
