Children's book launched on exploring treasures of the seaThe children’s book, which is in Maltese and English – Nesploraw Flimkien it-Tezori tal-Bahar/Exploring Together the Treasures of the Sea, has been launched at the Gozo College Victoria Primary School, Gozo.

Parliamentary Secretary Clint Camilleri attended the launch with the young students, he was accompanied by Roger the Seagull, the project mascot.

Clint Camilleri explained that the aim of this project, which is partly financed by the European Fund for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries 2014-2020, is to communicate three key messages -knowledge about the status of local fish stocks, the sustainable consumption of fish, and the role of each individual in assistance for conservation efforts.

The project is being implemented by the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture (DFA) in partnership with the National Literacy Agency (NLA) and the Department of Curriculum, Lifelong Learning and Employability (DCLE).

The centrepiece of this campaign will be held on open days inside the Fish Market in Marsa on the 29th, 30th of June and the 1st of July.
