David Spiteri Gingell appointed to lead restructuring of Gozo Channel

The Ministry for Gozo has announced that it has appointed David Spiteri Gingell to be responsible for streamlining the Gozo Channel management structure, “so that the company is better prepared for the increased demand and the challenges that it brings.”
In a statement, the Ministry said that these changes will be aimed, as a means of secure connectivity between islands, “the company continues to play a key role in the economic and social development of the island.”
It continued by saying that the restructuring process will be conducted by the Review Board for this Management Change process, which has been appointed by the Ministry for Gozo.
The Board includes to the company’s chairman and other people who have had various experiences in this area.
At the first meeting held on Wednesday, the Board, which is leading the restructuring, also approved the strategy which is aimed at leading Gozo Channel towards operating more efficiently, the Ministry said.
The statement concluded by saying that the strategy will focus on the company’s reorganisation, including better management of company assets and designing more modern methods of operation.
