Gozo public meeting this Saturday on Regional Cultural Development

This Saturday, there is the next consultation meeting, organised by the Culture Directorate in relation to the National Policy for Culture.
They are inviting ideas from the general public on the subject of – Regional Cultural Development in Malta and Gozo.
The Directorate said that “in recent years, regions and local councils have become active players in regional cultural development. From numerous yearly festivals to ongoing initiatives for communities, local government has become an important stakeholder in culture and the arts.”
The meeting will ask how can cultural policy address strategic cultural development at both regional and local levels? What frameworks can be created through the next cultural policy that support stronger collaborations cultural planning by regions and local councils in Malta and Gozo.
The meeting is being held at the Ministry for Gozo Main Hall, St Francis Square, Victoria. It starts at 10am until midday, on Saturday, the 16th of June. The public is invited to attend.
