Traditional Gozitan Agricultural Fair in Nadur this month

This month Nadur village will be holding the 25th annual traditional Wirja Agrarja – Agricultural Fair.
This year it is being organised by the Local Council and the Parliamentary Secretariat for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights.
The village will be alive with activity for the Fair, which takes place over the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of June, as part of the celebrations for the feast of Imnarja which is celebrated in Nadur. Visitors to the Fair, which takes place over two days, are promised a “Feast” for the eyes, and will be able to enjoy a variety of events, including an exhibition of local farm products, livestock, crafts, artisans, antique farming tools, traditional ghana, as well as Gozitan food and wine tasting.
Pets and livestock will be blessed on Sunday morning by the village Archpriest Mons. Jimmy Xerri.
The Fair will be held in l-Arcipriet Martin Camilleri Square, from 8:00 pm onwards on the Saturday, and on Sunday from 8:00am onwards.
