On Thursday, the Bishop’s Conservatory Secondary School in Victoria, Gozo, inaugurated the School’s Kreattiv Project.
A mural has been created for the project by the students at the school – Fil-Harsa T’Ghajnejk nara Sbuhija.
The school said that through the art of printmaking, students discovered the empowerment of women and explored inspirational women who have left an indelible mark on society. They said that the role and rights of women have changed beyond all recognition over the last 100 years.”However one factor has remained the same and that is the number of awe-inspiring women that exist all over the world.”
“Women like Mother Theresa, Princess Diana and Malala Yousafzai have taught us that everyone in society deserves to have a voice and be heard. Michelle Obama inspires young girls everywhere, encouraging them to – spread their wings and soar.”The school said that “some women, despite enduring harsh suffering, still find the will to carry on and that is beautiful!” Women should feel free to be strong and this is what this project is all about.”
The Bishop’s Conservatory Secondary School remarked that “it is a reminder for our girls to believe in themselves, fight and soldier on to achieve their dreams.”
