Zminijietna advocates for `union of tenants' in rent reform lawThe introduction of the concept of ‘union of tenants’ in the coming law on rent reform, has been called for by the Left think tank organisation Zminijietna.

In a statement, it appealed to the Government for the introduction, saying that, “the aim should be to acquire the right of everyone to good housing, and to a sound and healthy residential environment, at an affordable and fair rent, residential democracy and a right to tenant participation.”

Zminijietna added “that as a leftist organisation we appreciates the initiative taken by the Government in this regards, while noting the lack of participation from the Nationalist Party”.

Zminijietna concluded by saying that it will be presenting its views on the white paper that the Government is going to put forward for public consultation.
