The National Blood Donation Service is holding a blood donation session this Tuesday in Gozo, to help meet the growing challenge of maintaining a good blood reserve.
The service is inviting the public to donate blood this coming Tuesday at the new District Health Centre in Xewkija. The session will be 1: 00pm to 5: 00pm (last registration until 5: 00pm).
The new Centre was inaugurated yesterday. It is located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
Blood donations will from now on, no longer be held at the Gozo General Hospital, but always at the Xewkija District Health Centre on Tuesdays one week and then on Sundays the next, as before. Times will remain the same.
It is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
The Service thanks everyone who intends to donate.
