Gozo Minister visits MaltaPost’s Document Management Centre

The Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana and Parliamentary Secretary for Persons with Disability and Active Ageing Anthony Agius Decelis, have visited the MaltaPost Document Management Centre in Xewkija, Gozo.
During the visit Minister Caruana and Parliamentary Secretary Agius Decelis were given an explanation of how the centre operates, which is equipped to provide a consistent and quality service in document management.
MaltaPost employs around 55 persons with disability, trained to acquire the necessary skills to ensure that high service quality levels are maintained.
The Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana congratulated Maltapost for implementing this project. She added that this will be an example for other private entities to give space to people with disabilities in society.
Dr Caruana continued by saying that companies such as Maltapost are giving dignity to these people in a modern and safe environment, while earning a respectable wage. She wished MaltaPost every success in this work and pledged the support of the Ministry.
Parliamentary Secretary Anthony Agius Decelis spoke about the importance of people with disabilities entering the workforce, therefore helping them to live independently.
He added that work also helps to increase the inclusion of people with disabilities in Maltese society and thanked MaltaPost for its support in this regard.
