Science In The Citadel – Gozo’s free science festival for all the family, is taking place in all areas of the Citadel, this Saturday, the 28th of April between 10am and 8pm.
There will be even more activities for all ages at this year’s – not to be missed event – including, a larger interactive Science Fair occupying the Ditch, where visitors can join in many experiments, demonstrations and games; exciting shows using puppets, musical instruments and science comedy; plenty of talks and seminars on topics as diverse as innovative farming, sustainable energy, therapy from bees, maritime archaeology.
Other events during the day will be Einstein’s work and how astronomy helps with the search for meaning; workshops/exhibitions for adults and children looking at unleashing creativity, the science behind art, colour and photography, beekeeping, the human body, the curation of natural history and archaeology and computer coding; Brain Rave – an interactive installation where you can create real music from your mind!
New for this year is the Incubator area where visitors will be able to further the interests they have developed during the day by finding out how to advance them through studying, career change or even setting up their own business, and talk to entrepreneurs, employers and experts in the field about what it’s like working in science and technology on Gozo and Malta.
Around 50 organisations are taking part, offering 65 different activities between them. “So don’t just make time for science. Make a day of it!”
