The Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana announced a free course for the elderly in Gozo – EM Citizen (electronic mobile).
These courses will be provided to the elderly from May, following the ongoing collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo and the company TCTC.
Minister Caruana expressed her satisfaction that, once again, the elderly of Gozo will have the opportunity to discover, or even further strengthen their knowledge in the field of technology.
Dr Caruana said that the Ministry for Gozo’s commitment is to have an inclusive society, which incorporates literacy in the field of technology.
She stressed that this is a unique opportunity where the elderly can open up new horizons in terms of material and technological devices that they perhaps have little experience with, therefore keeping themselves active and updated with technological change, as well as bringing an improvement in their quality of life.
Dr Caruana praised TCTC’s commitment to this project and encouraged all elderly in Gozo to attend these free courses at the initiative of the Ministry
The Minister for Gozo concluded by saying that, “this is done so that the elderly are able to keep themselves active and included in our society.”
