Xaghra United Under 15 team crowned champions for 3rd year runningThe Xaghra United Under 15 team, has for the third consecutive year been crowned Champions of the Gozo Youth FA Championship.

In front of a large crowd of spectators they won their last game, which was against Xewkija, with the score of 3-2.

Scorers for the teams were Christian Axiaq (2 goals) for Xaghra and David Cardona for Xaghra, with Mark Dingli and Carl Formosa for Xewkija.
Xaghra United Under 15 team crowned champions for 3rd year runningXaghra United topped the league season unbeaten with 38 points, 12 wins and 2 draws, scoring 55 goals in favour and conceding only 13 goals.

They were followed by Nadur 30 pts, Qala 24, SKVW 20, Xewkija 18, Kercem/St Lawrenz 17, Oratory 11 and Ghajnsielem 6 pts.

Xaghra United played enjoyable football throughout the whole season, ” and they well deserved to be crowned as champions,” the club said.

At the end of the game, Mr Paul Galea the Gozo Youth FA President, presented the trophy to the Captains Christian Camilleri and Tristan Aguis.

The team was coached by Joe Louis Xiberras and Vince Aguis.
