It’s about the future of Europe – Citizens’ Dialogue in Gozo

A reminder that this Wednesday in Gozo, there will be a Citizens’ Dialogue “on the future of the Cohesion Policy in Malta and Gozo,” organised by The European Commission Representation in Malta.
It will include interventions by the Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu and the Commissioner for the Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Karmenu Vella.
Cohesion policy is the policy behind the hundreds of thousands of projects all over Europe that receive funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Cohesion Fund (Cohesion Fund applies to EU Member States which have a GDP lower than 90 % of the EU-27 average.
This EU funding is about “reducing disparities between the various regions and the backwardness of the least-favoured regions.”
The public is invited to attend the event, this Wednesday, the 18th of April, starting at 5:30pm, at the Grand Hotel, Mgarr, Gozo. A reception will follow.
