Hard-fought competition in Gozo Motocross Championship semi-finalsThe semi-finals of the Yamaha Gozo Motocross Championship 2018, took place on Sunday afternoon at Ta’ Xhajma Motocross Track, organised by the Gozo Motocross Association.

In this last stage before the final, all riders worked hard during the competition to keep their place in the championship.

Steve Xuereb achieved maximum points in Class A, coming first in all the three heats, while David Dimech followed in second place. Joseph Bigeni did well and came in third, followed closely by Robert Spiteri.Hard-fought competition in Gozo Motocross Championship semi-finalsClass B proved to be just as exciting, with Jorn Stellini and Nataniel Camilleri coming in 1st and second respectively, while Glenn Vella entered third. Maltese competitor Louis Debono was fourth.

Anthony Fenech moved down to second place in Class C following Matthew Spiteri who did well on his YZF 250cc and won 1st place. Jonathan Grange came in third.

The youths who rode their motorised bikes at last week’s FunRace enjoyed another short session at the track. 1st place was won by Isaac Bartolo once again. Gozo Motocross Association has said that the Finals of the Yamaha Gozo Motocross Championship 2018 will take place late May.
