The second edition of Science in the Citadel has had its official launch by the Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana.
This event, aimed for the whole family, is taking place in all areas of the Citadel, on Saturday, the 28th of April between 10am and 8pm.
Minister Caruana said that this science related festival is very important, because it introduces children to the world of science from an early age.
Dr Caruana added that, “with today’s technological advancements, we need to be prepared and festivals like these bring us close to the technological and scientific world.”
She also praised the fact that this initiative has brought together the voluntary sector, education and businesses to explore what science has to offer, while also exposing Gozo’s potential.
Colleen Bower, the festival organiser, provided details of the exhibits that can be encountered on the day, including agricultural and marine sciences, artificial intelligence and digital games.
Ms Bower thanked the Ministry for Gozo for the “substantial support” being given this year, as well as the support and participation from a number of sponsors.
