Large crowds welcome the Xaghra Children's Passion PageantIt may have been a cold evening, but large crowds turned out on Sunday to welcome and provide encouragement to the participants of the 41st edition of the Easter Children’s Passion Pageant as it started from Victory Square with a procession around the streets.
Large crowds welcome the Xaghra Children's Passion PageantOrganised by the Xaghra Vocational Centre, around 250 children and youths took part in the event which represents the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ and is a replica of the major Good Friday Passion Pageant.Large crowds welcome the Xaghra Children's Passion PageantSix miniature chalk and papier-mache’ statues are included in the procession, made by Xaghra-born artist Antonio Apap.
