Positive meeting between MUMN and Steward Healthcare – Government

A meeting has taken place today between the MUMN and Steward Heathcare Malta, with the participation of the Ministry of Health.
A joint statement issued by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ministry of Health, said that it was a “positive meeting.”
Included in the discussions were that labour conditions are to be kept the same, that hospital workers remain in the employment of the Government and that the health service provided at the Gozo General Hospital, St Luke’s Hospital and Karen Grech Hospital, remains free for all Gozitans and Maltese.
Also discussed was the school campus building for nurses – Northumbria, and Steward Healthcare Malta reiterated its commitment that this campus is one of their priorities.
