Ave Crux, Spes Unica - An exhibition for Holy Week in VictoriaAve Crux, Spes Unica – Sliem ghalik, O Salib, Tama Taghna – an exhibition for Holy Week taking place in Gozo.

The centre of the exhibition is the image of the Face of Christ, dating back to the second half of the 19th century, worked in papier mache and reminiscent of the sixth station, when Veronica wipes the face of Jesus during the Passion.

The exhibition is in a chapel decorated for this holy season with damask, complete with a set of statues depicting the passion of the Christ by the artist Manuel Buhagiar from Victoria.

The exhibition is being held at 5, ‘Santa Marija’ Triq il-Madonna tal-Karmnu, Victoria.

The opening hours are as follows:

Friday 23rd March

10.00am – 2.00pm

Saturday 24th March

9.30am -12.30pm / 5.30pm – 8.00pm

Sunday 25th March (Palm Sunday)

10.00am – 1.00pm / 6.00pm – 8.00pm

From Monday 26th March till Wednesday 28th March

9.30am – 2.00pm / 6.30pm – 9.00pm

Thursday 29th March (Maundy Thursday)

9.00am – 2.00pm / 6.30pm – 11.30pm

Friday 30th March (Good Friday)

7.30am – 1.00pm

Saturday 31st March (Easter Saturday)

9.00am – 12.30pm.
