There is an opportunity for the public to assist in a Search and Rescue exercise employing drones, through a call issued for young volunteers by the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps Cadets section.
The ERRC said that the Small Initiative Support scheme project is aimed to empower youth through sports and social skills while offering their services and time to the Maltese society.
“It also provides a unique and exciting opportunity for youths from diverse backgrounds to acquire new skills, participate in search and rescue activities, and make use of specialised equipment while working within a group,” it said.
Interested youths (minimum age 16) should please contact firstname.lastname@example.org Or call on 99800886. The initiative is being funded by the Malta Council for the Voluntary sector.
The ERRC Cadets are the youths section of the ERRC, a Gozo-based voluntary, charitable and non-profit organisation that aims to prevent and alleviate emergency situations involving people at risk.
