A Talk with Walid Nabhan in Gozo – winner of the 2017 EUPL

This Saturday, a special event will be taking place in Gozo – A Talk with Walid Nabhan, a winner of the 2017 European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL), with his novel L-Ezodu tac-Cikonji (Exodus of Storks).
His book is a story about a Palestinian man born in a refugee camp in Jordan, who found himself living in Malta.
Inizjamed together with EUPL and the the Cittadella Cultural Centre are organising the event, which starts at 6.30pm, on Saturday, the 17th of March.
Kit Azzopardi will be interviewing the Palestinian-Maltese author, and there will also be readings from his work, both in Maltese and English.
Admission is free and a reception will follow after the interview.
Inizjamed is a voluntary non-governmental cultural organisation founded in 1998 in Malta. It said that it is committed towards the regeneration of culture and artistic expression in the Maltese Islands and “actively promotes a greater awareness of the cultures of the Mediterranean.”
