To mark the first anniversary of the collapse of the Azure Window, the Ministry for Gozo organised a special event this morning to help raise awareness on the importance of the Dwejra area.
It was perfect weather and large crowds flocked to Dwejra to enjoy the many different activities.
The Azure Window Looking Beyond – included a number of events, all with the aim of educating the public about the environmental heritage located within this protected site.
There were fun walks to explore the surroundings of Dwejra; informational and educational sessions by experts in the field of flora, fauna and geology, a zip line with the ERRC, archery by the Victoria Scout Group and a number of exhibitions, as well as free boat rides at the Inland Sea.
One of the highlights of the morning was the water `arch’ with the help of Tug Malta’s Spinola tugboat.
