The programme has now been announced for this year’s Vintage Motors Festival, organised by Federazzjoni Maltija Vetturi Antiki (FMVA), which is taking place this Saturday and Sunday.
The Festival will start at St. Elmo in Valletta on Saturday and finish in Gozo on Sunday. The FMVA is inviting members of the public to view a wide range of beautiful classic and vintage machines dating from around the 1920s to the late 1970s.
The organisers said that there will be 3 rotating shows in: Qala, Ghajnsielem and Zebbug. This means that all 3 different shows will “rotate” and visit all 3 villages. The times will be from 9.00am till 11.00am, 11.15am to 1.15pm and 1.00pm to 3.30pm. All times approximate and depending on traffic conditions.
FMVA advised that there will also be a pictorial treasure hunt starting from Marsalforn at 10.00am am with a half-way stop in Dwejra at 11.00am, where also on Sunday morning there is a half-day of special events marking the first anniversary of the collapse of the Azure Window.
Part 2 of this treasure hunt will be at 11.30am and will finish at Ghajnsielem at 12.30pm.
This event will be the 10th of its kind and is being supported by the Ministry for Gozo and various Local Councils in both Gozo and Malta.
